Building Business Practice
As a result of working within a team on this project you are required to reflect on this process and undertake 360° assessment evaluation on the contribution your team members and you provided to all the work involved in completing the project.
Your response, the response of your peers and your workshop facilitator’s response will be taken into consideration regarding your final mark for this element.
(See pages 5 and 6 for specific assessment criteria)
Element 2 – Team Assessment 40% (1000 word report plus appendices.)
This assessment is to be produced by your team and should demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the key issues emerging from the team project you have been involved in this semester. The project undertaken will depend on what programme you are on.
Your team will be required to:
• Produce a report on the research undertaken as part of your specific team project which demonstrates wider reading and familiarity with theoretical concepts relevant to your programme
• Take part in a presentation of your final recommendations and conclusions (as indicated within the report brief). A copy of this presentation in note format MUST be included as an Appendix to your report.
Each member of the team who worked on the team assessment will receive the same mark for this element of the component.
(See page 7 for specific assessment criteria)
Element 3 – Individual Reflective Assessment 40% (1000 words)
This statement should summarise your own personal key insights emerging from the reflective notes you have maintained throughout this year.
Using specific examples from the projects that you have been involved in this year reflect on how you have developed as a ‘team player’ and your teamwork skills. Use an appropriate reflective model to structure your work or devise your own.
Remember this reflective assessment is still an academic piece of work and you must draw on your own background reading for the subject, relating your own experiences to the theoretical perspectives relevant to your experiences and also on your Belbin / Parker team profiles.
However as the work is more about your own experiences it is acceptable for these to be written in the first person (‘I’). You must also give specific consideration as to how these reflections will impact in your future experiences when working on team projects both within higher education and in future employment.
