How does being born in a different country impact you as a first- generation college student?

Being a first-generation college student is hard not only am I’m going to college for myself but I’m also doing it for my family since I was fortunate enough to come to America and get an education here, my parents weren’t lucky enough since they didn’t have the financial to finished even grades school, they lived in poverty so going to college and obtain a college degree that will not only benefit me but it also helps my parent dreams come true seeing my head to the college I wanted to go.
