Select a common ‘pre-hospital’ paediatric emergency and discuss this emergency in relation to the learning outcomes outlined below: Intended learning outcomes for Part 1: 1. Apply an in-depth knowledge and critical understanding of the normal anatomy and physiology of the child and their normal developmental stages and landmarks 2. Critically evaluate and apply the underlying principles of assessment and recognition of a sick child to demonstrate understanding of the evidence-based management of paediatric emergencies. 4. Demonstrate the ability to adapt interpersonal communication methods for caring for these patient groups and their families, including partnership working in a transdisciplinary approach, critically evaluating scope of practice, and the need for referral. 5. Critically analyse how learning from this module has transformed your understanding of your practice.
