Instructions for the Assignment (limited to 5000 words):
This should be a Legal paper:
o Legal – Bring in some of the law that we are learning. Pick a topic that exists in the ‘real world’ that you might find interesting. (i.e. Government approach to how you balance security and data flows). What does your topic mean in the application of the law? (i.e. Vietnam is doing “X” under data issues, under WTO, can they? And under the context of legal issues — is there one? Or can there be one?)
o You can also create a hypothetical situation — i.e. What could happen if xxx??
o Put forward facts, ask 1-2 questions (what are the legal implications), apply the law and reach a conclusion.
The topic will be Artificial Intelligence / Ethics and the Lack of International Regulation so far to deal with the problems arising from it and how the GATT and GATs regulation (and other WTO regulations could be used to address the problem)
