Hi Gabriela, love the ideas you present in this paper! think you are certainly on to something in your assertion that Dickinson believes animals deserve the status of co-citizens with humans. also agree that there is a (bio)political claim latent in much of her poetry that echoes what we consider animal rights. All of these claims are scaffolded in your essay, but they could be arranged more effectively. Your earlier claim about co-citizenry sounds like a thesis sentence, especially since animals rights would be needed for such a co-citizen status. The lack of status is evident in Dickinson’s satirization of human behaviors as you point out. However, make the connection among these ideas clear. Show how one builds toward the next and depends upon the last.
