Participation Observation Assignment

The meeting took place at the school’s conference room and was chaired by the Dean and it included the two university’s health officers, student leader, procurement officer, Legal counselor, and the Public Relations Officer. Every member was required to wear a face mask while handshakes were prohibited. The room had wall and floor stickers reminding individuals to practice social distancing. Also, the room had multiple sanitizing stations with sinks and running water. The meeting layout was a U-shaped structure that eliminated the risk of spreading the virus through face-to-face interaction. Also, the desks were 6-feet apart as a means of maintaining healthy social distancing rules. The desks had a COVID 19 manual that would act as a safety guideline throughout the meeting.

The meeting began at 10:00 a.m. when the Dean welcomed all members stressing the need to maintain COVID 19 rules. The Dean assured members that the meeting was scaled down to fewer people to reduce congestion. Also, its layout was approved by the public health care officer. The two medical officers laid down the strategies that the university can minimize the spread of the virus between employees and students. Also, they mentioned the tools and equipment that the university needs to meet the COVID 19 requirements. The procurement officer assured that the university had the necessary funds to meet the COVID 19 requirements. The meeting was a perfect example of how COVID 19 had transformed our social interaction behaviors. The U-shaped layout was the most interesting aspect of the meeting because it encouraged a one-on-one without defiling the COVID 19 rules. The meeting ended at noon and all members were requested to maintain the social distancing rules as they moved out of the room.
